BACTEC’s
unique AGS-1 System extends the detection boundaries of buried
ferrous objects and explosive ordnance contamination using
non-intrusive survey techniques.
Latest developments to the system also enable
an output of high resolution sub surface data, which can
be used to interpret underground conditions and locate
areas of possible archaeological interest.
The system can be configured for 1, 2 or
4 magnetometer sensors depending on the area being surveyed,
and can be deployed in a number of ways:
- The single or twin sensor system can be
carried by an operator and assistant;
- The twin or quad system can be mounted
on a motorised vehicle;
- The system can be mounted on a towed catamaran
and deployed over water;
- A light aircraft or hovercraft can also
be used for larger open sites.
The use of advanced magnetometry technology,
sophisticated software and verification processes enable
the AGS-1 system to be deployed using a variety of methods
quickly and efficiently, either on land or underwater,
on development sites, construction sites, MoD and former
MoD sites together with post conflict environments worldwide.
The delivered result is a false-colour plan
and associated target list indicating the location, depth
and theoretical modelled mass of potential targets for
further investigation. |

STAGE
1
The flexible application of
the AGS-1 non-intrusive system allows for rapid
deployment worldwide.
STAGE 2
The unique false-colour
plan along with the target list provides
data that facilitates user-friendly anomaly
identification, which may require follow
up action. |
