Post Conflict & Landmine Clearance

BACTEC has established itself as a major post conflict and landmine clearance company.  We have undertaken significant projects for the UN, UK and overseas governments in over 28 different countries.

Where possible we recruit and train local personnel to undertake mine clearance and support duties. Working with the local community, we also provide Mines Risk Education, either as a community liaison project or as part of the overall clearance programme.

For each project, we deploy:

  • Manual clearance teams (MCT)
  • Mine detection dog teams (MDD)
  • Mechanical systems (MECH)
  • Full project management support

All operations are carried out in accordance with:

  • Country specific Technical and Safety Guidelines (TSG)
  • BACTEC Standard Operational Procedures (SOPs)
  • International Mine Action Standards (IMAS)
  • Information Management System for Mine Action (IMSMA)
