Threat and Risk Assessment
BACTEC provides a comprehensive risk mitigation strategy for any site/location that may contain unexploded ordnance including landmines or other Explosive Remnants of War (ERW). This is a factual report which identifies the level and nature of the risk posed on the site or sites, with recommendations for appropriate risk mitigation measures to be implemented through the following:
- Historical review to identify and prioritise at-risk areas
- Desk top and field studies to quantify the risk for unexploded ordnance and land mines
- Identify where possible the nature and quantity of ordnance contaminating the site(s)
Project Development
- Provide technical advice for the initial development of a project
- Preparation of tender documentation for EOD/Mine Action
- Equipment specification and procurement
- QA/QC on behalf of third parties
- Project Management Capacity Building
Provide assistance to Local and International Authorities in:
- Preparation of Technical and Safety Guidelines (TSGs)
- Establishing accreditation procedures in accordance with IMAS
- Training local QA/QC staff as well as EOD/Mine Action personnel
